Abstract

This study examined the integration of Artificial Intelligence (AI) in collaborative mathematics learning at the senior high school level, with a particular focus on issues of accessibility and distance. The literature review was analyzed using a content analysis approach to identify patterns, gaps, and major findings from previous studies. The results reveal that although the use of AI in mathematics education has been widely investigated, there is still a lack of research that specifically addresses accessibility challenges for students in remote areas and distance-related barriers in collaborative interaction. This study offers novelty by mapping the conceptual integration of AI that not only enhances mathematical understanding but also strengthens students’ social skills through cross-location collaboration. The findings emphasize that AI has the potential to provide inclusive solutions for reducing educational inequality. Key recommendations include strengthening digital infrastructure, teacher training, and stakeholder collaboration to realize more equitable and sustainable AI-based collaborative learning.
